I have a situation that occurs frequently with Alarm++ that could be rather easily enhanced.
I often use the "delete alarm after last event" option when I create an alarm, but most of my alarms have this option off. My "problem" occurs when the alarm goes off and I am looking at the event window for it. It would be nice if there were an indicator (small icon?) that showed whether or not the "delete alarm after last event" option had been selected for that alarm.
The reason this is a "problem" for me, is that I often have not irreplacable, but often valuable, information noted in the message area of the event window. At some point I will want to delete that alarm totally (including this information), but when I create the alarm I am not always sure I won't need that info in the future. So to insure that I don't lose the info when I turn the alarm off in the event window without thinking that I really wanted to save the info, I don't select the "delete alarm after last event" option. That too is OK as far as it goes, but eventually when that alarm goes off, I do now realize that I am 100% done with the info in that event window, and that I do want to delete the entire alarm. Without an indicator like I am suggesting, there is no way for me to remember whether I had set the "delete alarm after last event" option or not. If I did set that option when I created the alarm, then all is fine, but if I didn't set the "delete alarm after last event" option when I created the alarm, when I now turn the alarm off, it stays in the database as junk.
If there were an icon in the event window indicating that the "delete alarm after last event" option has been set, then I could be confident that the alarm would be erased from the database when I turn the alarm off; or if the delete option is not set that I have to go into the database to delete the alarm since I am now sure that a full deletion is what I want; or perhaps even that I did set the "delete alarm after last event" option when I created the alarm, but now I realize that I really want to save the info so I had better not turn this alarm off, but instead snooze it for a few minutes so I can then go into the database and turn off the "delete alarm after last event" option.
The addition of this indicator would make all these scenarios easier and safer to deal with, and yet at the same time add zero risk that someone might inadvertinently make a mistake since the this addition to Alarm++ would be only an indicator and it would not be possible for the user to change the database other than that which already exists in Alarm++.
